How to be a Responsible Netizen?

                In today’s modern and digital world, it is easier to do task, researches, and school projects. We can also easily update or be updated concerning the recent issues, life of other people, politics, fashion trends and etc. Harassment,and throwing nasty comments on a particular person since it doesn’t involve a face- to-face interaction, can be done with the help of internet connection, but is this how a responsible netizen should act?

                How to be a responsible netizen? There are many ways to be one. First is, be ware of what you post online. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat are just some of the social media networking sites people can join and use. It may seem to be a great way to relieve stress or drop of frustration and may be fun to use but make sure that it is only for good and use it responsibly. Before posting online, check what could be the tone of your post like? Does it cause harm to someone else or is it worth sharing? Everything we post online can put us at risk or can hart and harm others. Think before you click.

It is now easier for fake news to spread swiftly as they say in “May pakpak ang  balita, may connection ang lupa”, especially now that everyone can easily access to the internet and social networking sites becomes a trend and we can easily or immediately share a post in just a click. We can cause a chaos and may cause people to come up or commit bad and wrong decisions just because of misunderstanding and believing that fake news we have shared online. This simple move can ruin someone's life and reputation so be ware and avoid sharing this so- called "fake news".

Every time that we are interacting with people online, we are also talking to a lot of people who have different behaviors, characteristics, cultures, opinion, religion, nationality and perspective in life. Thus, it is very necessary to respect and understand the opinions of other, especially in the virtual world. Respect for ourselves guides our morals,respect for others guides our manners.


                    Digital world maybe about having fun but we shouldn't forget our manners when we are into this so- called world of  internet. using social medias and other online platforms. We should keep in mind that in just a click we can or we might hurt and harm others or worse, we might ruin their reputation, life and future even without us knowing.
